We joined Mrs. Peterson's class for an early music class with Mrs. McBride. We ran through all of the songs that we will be performing for Annie. It was so great to hear all of those pieces together.
When we returned to our room, we quickly organized ourselves into our Readers' Theatre groups. We fine tuned our gestures, expression and the rate at which we will be reading. It is very exciting to see (and hear) what everyone has created!
We met with our groups from Mrs. Peterson's class during Social Inquiry. We completed our thoughts about what we already know and our wonders about our selected topics.
After lunch, we gathered our pre-corders and joined Mrs. Jones for music.
During math, we continued our exploration into division where Mr. Demman shared strategies for halving. He read "The Great Divide" and used blocks to represent the division of characters in the story.
Following our nutrition break and read aloud, we moved into Science Inquiry. The engineers tested their pinwheel designs and started to discover ways that they could use their engineering talents to lift a container...including a weighted load. Great work!
The scientists are saving a number of items to add to the website that they are designing.

We then went outside for gym. Mr. Demman taught soccer skills with a focus on passing. Once we had the opportunity to practice these skills, we applied them in 4 separate games. What a beautiful afternoon!!!
