Thursday!...Wow!!! Hard to believe that it is April 7 already.
Well, we got off to a great start with Mrs. Jones in Music where we practiced our Annie songs.
The songs are really coming together, but we all know that practice makes progress!
After music, we met with Mr. Demman where we practiced our detective skills. We were collecting evidence to support our inferences while Mr. Demman was reading "Fly Away Home" by Eve Bunting.
During our morning nutrition break and read aloud, we continued with our story "Follow the Elephant". We are very close to the end and will likely finish tomorrow. So excited to know what is going to happen!
This afternoon started with math. We were reviewing our basic multiplication fact strategies. We started with Circles and Stars. Following a round of Math Daily 3, we played a fast paced round of 'Around the World'. Great job quickly accessing those multiplication facts.
We then joined Mrs. Peterson's class where we shared our science inquiry projects and ideas. It was great to see so many proud people sharing their great ideas and efforts. We were so engaged in our sharing that we quickly had to pack up our projects and hustle to the gym for gymnastics with Mrs. T form Alberta Gymnastics.
The last few minutes of the daily were action packed. We played a quick game or Around the World multiplication. The grande finale was was feverish round of multiplication facts. WOW!!! That was so much fun!
Just a few reminders:
- There is an Annie rehearsal at 10:30 for those who are in Scene 8.
- Please remember to send in your Annie ticket orders and movie night forms.
- We will be going on a community walk tomorrow, so please dress appropriately for the weather.

The EcoTeam is very excited to announce that we are ready to build our Garden Beds. The beds are designed, and materials ordered. We are looking for some help, from parents, and members of the community. We will be building the garden beds on April 16, beginning at 10 am. Students are welcome to join us, to help sand, and fill the beds with gravel and dirt. We expect that we will be able to begin at 2 pm, on April 16. Please bring along a shovel. If you are available to lend a hand in any way, please let Ms. Goldberg know. You can contact her at amgoldberg@cbe.ab.ca Only those who make contact with Ms. Goldberg will be welcome to participate.
Annie Kids message regarding ticket sales from Mrs. McBride:
Parents, our class is participating in the the production of Annie Kids
on Thursday May 5th. There is an afternoon show at 1:30pm and an
evening performance at 6:30pm. Please note that the tickets are issued
in a first come first served basis. As stated on the order form, there
is a wait list for both afternoon and evening tickets if you may require
more than your allotted number. All students were given a copy of the
