Happy Friday (or Sunday when I am writing this post)

Today was a very busy day in our learning community.  We were happy to have music today with Mrs. McBride.  We also got to do some word work with Mrs. Gates.

Like on most Fridays, we had our community walk.  Today's walk focused on Trees.  We began our investigation by watching a short video from Tumblebooks on Trees.  This gave us some background knowledge on trees before our walk.  Off we went, we were very proud of all of you and how aware you are of your surroundings and how you know what our expectations are when we are on our walks.

When we got down into the river valley we chose a tree.  We had a number of investigations:  we sketched the tree, wrote about what we noticed about it, what we noticed around the tree, then on our way home we discussed our wonders about our trip.  When we returned to school we discussed our findings.
Things to Remember:

1.)  Remembrance Day is November 11th, No School
2.)   Remembrance Day Assembly at school Tuesday, November 10th
3.)  November 20th - No School Professional Development Day

Question of the Day:

What did you do this weekend to make someone smile?

  1. How I made someone smile is I shared a bunk bed with them because I was camping.
