This afternoon was a blast! Many of us had a great time at Running Club. We played some tag games and ran about one km today.
In math, we really stretched our thinking as we did a great math magic square problem. We had a nine sqare grid with a 7 in the middle, using the numbers 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11 into the grid where all vertical, horizontal and diagnals equal 21. Try this again at home with your parents. Show them what you know.
We continued reading No Talking it is getting really good! The competition is beginning to heat up.
In our science inquiry, we shared what we knew about Alberta oil sands. What we found out is that we didn't know very much.... yet. We watched a short video from the Alberta govenment about the oil sands and then a funny one from Rick Mercer. Tonight students were to find one new fact about the oil sands.
In gym, we got to play Indiana Jones with the omnikin ball. This was a lot of fun. We had a couple of bonked noses but we all survived.
