Wacky, Wild Wednesday, October 14th, 2015

Good Afternoon,

We are going to try and get the blog out as soon as possible today so that students can start playing around with their new blogs.

Tonight if you have a few minutes please work on setting up your blog the way you want it to look. At this time if we add pictures please don't add pictures of your face.  You can add pictures from the internet.  As we get more permission or let more people access your blogs we may change this rule.

To get on your blog you can log in with
kidblog.org/class/bowleszwack

Once there on the right hand side you will see members, they are in alphabetical order for the first names.  Click on your name - then click on the red login button.  You click on the drop down box and your password is your first name (put a capital on the first letter) and the your 4 digit password to get on the computers at school.

Once there you can go into your profile and change your avatar and your play around with the heading.  Please write your first post about whatever you would like.  IF you would like to go in and make a kind  (choosekind) post on another students blog as well.

Kidblog will be used as a way to communicate both in and out of class in written form. It will be a place to share our learning, ideas and information that we have found for our inquiries and other class projects.

Today we also had the opportunity to choose a Twitter name.  We used a very democratic process to choose our name.  Our new Twitter handle is thewonders80.  Please follow us and you will learn all about what we are doing in class.  We are also using our Twitter account to communicate with other learners in our school and around the world.  Together we will learn the power of social media.  We will only be following other classrooms, some important authors to our class and other school related tweets.  We won't be following any sports teams, music or television personalities.

Dance was a blast today!  We learned the Jitterbug!  Ask us to show you our moves.

    Blogging would show our families pictures of what we are doing and.Tweeting will tell people information or quotes

    It will be a great way to express of what we are doing class and show what we can do and show how we are learning.

    I learned that you can only put one X beside the person's name that you choose & if you out anything else (stars, happy faces, etc.) they don't count it!
