In Social Studies this morning we discussed where students should be at right now in the Inquiry process. Some groups have been doing a great job cooperating and working together to gather information. Others have not been using their time so wisely to get their jobs completed. We will be sending some work home at the end of the week for those that are needing extra research time.
Wow what an afternoon!
A picture is worth a thousand words....
1.) RT Alderman/Dr. George Stanley Transition Trip tomorrow. Please bring a one-handed snack that can be eaten on the bus. We will not be taking water bottles on the trip. There will be cookies and milk provided. If you have food allergies you may want to bring an acceptable snack.

3.) The EcoTeam is excited to invite you to our next event, to inaugurate our garden beds, this Saturday! We plan to plant the plants, and water the garden. We invite families, and members of the community, to join us. We thank The Calgary Foundation Neighbour Grants for this opportunity to see our wish, of growing vegetables to serve the community, come alive! Please let Ms. Goldberg know if you are able to attend or lend a hand in any way – amgoldberg@cbe.ab.ca. Bring a hand shovel and a small watering can, if you have one! The event will probably last only 1 hour, or so, so please arrive on time!

Tell us about the Astrodome and your thoughts. Please write at least three sentences and make sure that you have edited them.
I really liked going into the dome because it was amazing looking up at the stars and watching the video! I also liked holding the asteroid and smelling the texture inside of it! I really loved going inside the dome!

I learned that when rocks are spinning in space and if they crash into each other and fall to the earth it is called a meteorite.
ReplyDeleteWe got to feel one of the rocks and it smelled like metal.
I really enjoyed this activity.
At night, at 11pm the brightest star you see is actually Jupiter. The orange one is Mars and if you look really hard you could maybe see Saturn.
ReplyDeleteHow did they build the big dome?
Inside the dome we saw Jupiter, Saturn, and Mars. We also saw constellations. It was FUN!
ReplyDeleteLEXI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved it so much and I did not expect it to be that fun. I learned a lot about space, time and things. We got to hold a space rock and go into the big blowy air dome. Nic Buckner
ReplyDeleteI learned about Saturn,Jupiter, and Mars.I thought it was cool that in 4,000 and some years Mars will have a ring just like Saturn. But I thought the domm would be bigger. -ANDREA
ReplyDeleteThe astrodome was so much fun!!! I learned that tonight at eleven o clock I could see Mars. It was cool that we could go through time.
ReplyDeleteAnswer to Jared's question - it is inflatable I think because the air comes out when we go inside.
