It is the Friday after Annie. I think we are all a little tired.
This morning we tested our Words Their Way and even with the many rehearsals and performances, the students did very well. You can expect new words to come home on Monday! As the testing was happening, students Read to Self and finished up their henna Hand art projects.
We watched Horton Hears a Who while we enjoyed our Jugo Juice Fun Snack. Thank you to all the volunteers who make this happen!
We went outside for a community walk after our snack and took some time to appreciate our world and that we are safe and sound here in Calgary. Following up on our talks this week about the families who have been displaced from Fort Mc Murray, we also took a moment to send some well wishes and good thoughts there way!
1.) Swimming forms and payments are due on Monday, May 9th. We are in desparate need of volunteers. Please see if you can help us out one day.
2.) Volunteer Tea
Thursday, May 19th

We love our volunteers and want to make sure they are celebrated and know how much they mean to us! Without volunteers, there are many, many things that could not happen in our amazing school.
What was one important lesson that you learned from being apart of the Annie Production?
I think it was that when we are good listeners the other people are too!
